Have you got a script for a feature or pilot that you would like to polish at a writers retreat in Spain and go to the birmingham film and tv market to pitch to various high end executives (see the website for who is participating) Read all the rules and enter now. A jot form will be sent after entry to fill in all the script and your details.
We are looking for a 50-60 page pilot script or 90-120 page feature script, of any genre except experimental and animation, in other words a live action drama.
We will favour any story with an older woman 45 plus in it.
(That is they will get 2 more points in the assessment)

1st Prize – a full board trip to Rocaberti Writers Retreat May 30th-June 4th, 2025 Sant Mori Castle, Girona, Spain.
Here you will polish your script under the mentorship of renowned producers, Wendy Kram or Judi Levine, and you will also meet the other mentors Chris Deckard and Michael Davies. All these mentors are influential and you may pitch to them. Some mentors have optioned scripts at the retreats. www.rocabertiwriters.com.

A free up to 2 minute teaser, filmed in a day, subject to discussion with Lumino Films worth £5,000. To be filmed in Kent/London only. However we will use vfx or carefully chosen locations to make an authentic look for an American or European back drop. We will use actors with the correct accent or ethnicity to make your teaser pop.

CHALKER/SANGER SHORT FILM FUND 2024 (updated 25 May, 2024)
Overview
Due to many enquiries we have updated the no of pages to 20 max
We are looking for a 7-20 page short film, of any genre except experimental and animation, in other words a live action drama. One of the leads of the story must be an older woman aged 50 plus. We will award up to £10,000 according to the budget and the funds we have coming in and we will also look to provide post production services and possibly lighting and camera hire in the package.

The judges analysed and deliberated over all the scripts that were entered. We had a uniform marking scheme and came out with the following finalists:

Then we came down on these with only the winner getting the prize. We hope to have this film made early next year.
